His performance was notably marked by his incredible comeback, recovering 500 miles in 48 hours, and by leading as he passed Cape Horn.
Sébastien Simon, on the other hand, brilliantly finished in 3rd place after demonstrating exemplary resilience in the face of tough conditions. His bold tactical choices and speed, including his 24-hour record, were key factors in his success. After a year marked by a dismasting, he managed to turn the situation around and make his project a success.
