Yannick Richomme, CEO of Incidence Group and Frédéric Duthil, CEO and sole shareholder of Technique Voile have entered into an exclusive agreement for the purchase of the sailmaker from La Trinité-sur-mer by the Incidence Group’s holding. After a necessary audit phase, this purchase will be completed just before summer.
Trough this agreement, Incidence Group stands as Europe’s leading company with close to 21 M€ of consolidated turnover for each of its four brands: Incidence Sails, Incidence Technologies, Delta Voiles, et Technique Voile.
The combination of two dynamics
Technique Voile and Incidence are two growing companies that are at the cutting edge of technology. They both have increasing turnovers and are faced with increasing demand. The combination of their own dynamics aims at creating constructive synergies for their respective clients as well as for the entire Group:
– Incidence membranes will be more widely disseminated
– Technique Voile will be able to provide its clients with an extended range of technological products.
– Both the sailmakers will increase the group’s network in order to provide even better support to boaters and racers.
– The combination of resources, technology and internal know-how will offer new development opportunities.
The entire workforce and production sites of both companies will remain the same.

Yannick Richomme, CEO at Incidence Group
« This acquisition fits the development strategy and, after the foundation of Incidence Technologie in 2013, followed by the acquisition of Delta Voiles in 2018, reflects the strong commitment of the shareholders to develop the first French sailmaker now being Europe’s leader in the sails industry.
It is however important to note that this agreement is a blend between the two entities and not an absorbtion.
The brand Technique Voile will remain, especially where it has a dominant position regarding market shares.
Incidence technologies’ R&D will be shared with Technique Voile and every opportunity of synergies in terms of production or administration will be taken.
We admire Technique Voile’s success under Frédéric Duthil’s leadership and are very happy with this agreement made between two strong brands in the boating, racing and shipyard market segments.
Frédéric Duthil, CEO and founder at Technique Voile
« Technique Voile has remarkably grown during these past six years and has since a long time, proven its worth in IRC regattas as well as in offshore racing. It has provided sailors, racers and shipyards with high quality sails and local service. To go even further, we would have had to overcome technological barriers, invest in a new production capacity and build an R&D program.
This is the reason why the agreement with Incidence is a great opportunity that will lead Technique Voile to pursue its development by offering its clients an extended range of products and especially the filamentary membrane DFi®, produced in France.
As a logical consequence of a long-term dedication, my team and I are proud to work on this new project.
Matthias de Christen, General manager at Incidence Sails and Delta Voiles
« The combination of the two companies is a real opportunity to provide our clients, private and professional, with an extended range of products and services. The diffusion of Incidence Group’s technologies and of its filamentary membrane DFi® in particular, is a strategic issue. Extending the network will also lead to a better customer service.
Joining our resources and skills will reinforce our leadership and will lead us to provide ever more innovative solutions to offshore sailors, racers and boaters, and to shipyards as well.
The perspective of bringing the teams of Technique Voile and Incidence together, people that share the same values regarding performance, excellence, and quality of service is exciting.
*The DFi®: the filamentary membrane created and developed by Incidence Technologies. The only the filamentary membrane made in France. Incidence is the only sailmaker worldwide to produce two types of membrane, film and filamentary: theD4® and the DFi®.
